On behalf of FADRA, I want to welcome you to our website and our association. Exciting things are happening, and we are thrilled to have you join us. We hope this website becomes a source of information for you about our industry and also a way to connect with other recyclers and resources to help you raise your business to the next level.

My name is Gary Lindros and I’m honored to serve as the current President of the Florida Auto Dismantlers and Recyclers Association. My job as president is to listen to our members’ needs. If you have suggestions or comments, please email me at [email protected]. I look forward to working with all of you to keep our businesses moving forward with hopes of creating more opportunities for those of us in the automotive recycling industry.

FADRA members have been working since 1975 to be the voice for recyclers in the state of Florida. Originally founded to fight legislation which threatened our industry’s livelihood, FADRA continues to further the used automotive parts recycling industry and its beneficial effects on society by gathering the voices of auto recyclers and affiliated businesses and making them heard at the state level. In the years since our founding, FADRA continues to prevent harmful legislation from being enacted and promote legislation that benefits both our industry and the State of Florida.

While our origins started with fighting harmful legislation in Tallahassee, our organization has grown past that initial rallying cry.  FADRA is a dynamic organization with a vast membership of full and self-service recycling yards across the state. We promote best practices and education that meet state and federal safeguards and advance our businesses in a complex and competitive marketplace.

Being a member benefits you! FADRA members get to access a broad network of knowledge and contacts. We directly meet with legislators annually in Tallahassee and have a lobbying firm that monitors legislation and regulations year round to make sure nothing is passed into law without representation. FADRA has a solid working relationship with NMVTIS, law enforcement, and the DEP.  We publish four newsletters a year publicizing our members and providing up-to-date industry news. We are developing our online presence more actively to publicize our industry to the public. Through our connection with ARA we have online safety training available at ARA University, along with a rich source of information about what's happening in our industry nationwide.

Our annual convention is one of the largest state association meetings in the country. Our convention trade show brings in vendors from around the country to show off the latest and greatest in equipment, computer management systems, services, and supplies. Members get to hear from nationally known speakers, share ideas, problems and solutions over dinner and drinks, and enjoy family time at a great resort hotel.

FADRA is proud to be recognized as a State Affiliate Chapter of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA), our Virginia-based national association and is often cited as one of the most effective state associations in the United States.

You're not all alone out there; FADRA is here to help you and your knowledge and participation helps us. If you have not already joined FADRA, please consider becoming a member of this exciting organization that will enhance your knowledge, professional growth and your company's bottom line.

Thank you for taking time to read this and learn more about FADRA and how we can help each other succeed together.
