FADRA members will make their annual visit to Tallahassee on January 12-13, 2027 to visit with legislators. With lots of new House and Senate members in store after the November 3 election, we have a new crop of people we can educate about the auto recycling industry and its issues. All members are welcome to join us for meetings on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, with a Tuesday dinner for all participants at the Governors Club. We are still developing issues for discussion, but we are working to close up some licensing loopholes for the Salvage Dealers License, alerting legislators to the problems of unlicensed operators, likely EV battery legislation, and supporting Right to Repair. If you have problems you would like us to address, please let us know. 

If the idea of going to the Capitol makes you uncomfortable, you will find most of the people we meet find our industry fascinating once we talk about what we do (and most know little about it), they are happy to meet constituents, and they go out of their way to make everyone welcome. Telling our stories from the front lines carries weight and brings good will that helps us when we have critical legislation to pass or prevent. Bring your voice to Tallahassee and represent your industry to our politicians.
